Medical Management-Clinical Personnel

Overview

This course emphasizes the signs and symptoms of exposure to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) contaminates, the evaluation of victims, triage of casualties, therapeutic regimens for treatment and prophylaxis. THIS COURSE DOES NOT COVER DECONTAMINATION TECHNIQUES. This course is offered quarterly at the Disaster Staging Facility (DSF) and is  available to any HPP hospital at their site if more than 10 participants will attend. Hospital personnel will need approval from their Disaster Coordinator to reserve a seat.

CBRN training is required to be an active, accredited paramedic in Los Angeles County. CBRN Medical Management meets this requirement. Paramedics/Trainees will need approval from either their Paramedic Coordinator or school Program Director to reserve a seat.

CBRN Medical Management-Clinical Personnel is approved for 4 hours of instructor based continuing education (CE) by Board of Registered Nursing CEP #XXXX and California Prehospital Provider #XXXX. Remember CE certificates must be retained for four years.
